Good snow in Wales is an absolute dream and last week we made sure to make the most of it.
Fueled on copious amounts of cake, dragging out anyone who would join us, tired legs by the end of the week.
It was SO worth it.
Let's hope we'll see some more snow soon.

Introducing 'Mums in the Mountains'.
The kids are back in school, you've not got much time until pick up.
You want to get outside, get some fresh air, get active, meet some other awesome women.
Well this is your chance.
WHEN: Wednesday 5th February and happening the 1st Wednesday every month.
TIME: Meet at 10am for a hilly hike. (We'll be finished by 2pm latest, in time for the school run)
WHERE: February hike will start in Garndolbenmaen.
COST: February walk is FREE please book using link in our bio.
The walk will be led by a qualified female Mountain Leader.
The usual cost will be £15 per person.
Each month will be in a different location and build on the last with the aim of hiking Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa on a Sunday in September.

Roxy is having a holiday with us for the whole of January.
It's fair to say her first week has been pretty adventurous.
Ticked off Snowdon ✅
Got stuck in deep snow.
Had the occasional carry.
Chased Bear A LOT.
Doesn't seem to have slept much!
3 more weeks of adventures to come.
Any tips on how to knacker out a Springer Spaniel? Answers on a postcard please.

Today we walked up Moel Hebog and Moel Ogof. Ther

Today we walked up Moel Hebog and Moel Ogof.
There was SO much snow.
So we aimed for the North East ridge to escape the deep stuff.
Everything has been marvelous.
We got our layers right, the conditions were great.
We changed poles for axes at about 500 meters.
Descending the North side on our bums was excellent.
Snaking up Moel Ogof was quite hard work.
Snacks have been important.
Things we learnt today...
Dangling gloves can fill with snow - which is bad.
Carrying spare gloves always pays off.
Plunging a boot through snow into water is shit.
Changing layers is worth the effort.
Nairn's toffee oat biscuits are rocket fuel.
Today has been very, very good.
