High above the clouds this rare phenomenon is always exciting to see.
Formed when the sun behind you casts a shadow onto the cloud below.
Water droplets in the clouds create a rainbow around the shadow.
It's pretty damn cool.

It's a rare treat, to get to the top of Yr Wyddfa and find it empty.
The highest mountain in England and Wales is usually really busy.
If you'd like a lonely mountain you need to start early and get out mid week, in the Winter.
If the weather looks a bit rough early in the day the mountains might be even quieter.
Have great days out this Winter - carry spikes, pack snacks, take extra gloves.
Always pack as if you ARE going to break an ankle - the cold can kill you if you're forced to stop moving.
An old down jacket crunched into a drybag weighs very little and can be a lifesaver. For you or someone else.

Emma is so protective over her scallops she can often be seen running around the beach, in her massive wellies, racing small children to pick them up first before they get their grubby little hands on them.
